Always learning and always trying to perfect what I do... That's me! I would have never guessed that my mother would have had such an influence on my life as a photographer. She was the picture taker... and never missed the opportunity to capture the moment at hand. I bought my first camera 15 years ago to capture moments in my childrens' lives like birthdays, Halloweens, Christmas mornings, and Little League teams in action.
It wasn't until a few years ago that photography took on a life of its own in my life. While shooting for personal enjoyment at my son's high school baseball game, I was approached about taking pictures for the school's football booster club. This led to helping the school's athletic director with special photo projects for the school. However, this required me to become a authorized vendor for the school district, which required that I be licensed by the state and the city I live in. While standing at the window to get my business license from the state, I was asked what the name of my business was. Not having given this any thought, I paused for a moment and then answered "Scot's Shots"! At that moment, my life took on a new direction and finds me here with you today.
I am currently a full-time pharmacist managing a pharmacy for a large retail chain. I am married and have five boys ranging in ages from 23 all the way down to twins who are 18 months old. I also have one granddaughter who is 3 years old... so yes, she has two uncles who are younger than her!
I am constantly working on developing my photography business, which will allow me to spend less time in the pharmacy. Building a reputation takes time and hard work. Providing quality work at prices my customers can afford is where I choose to start. I love to laugh and have fun and help those around me do the same. My goal as a photographer is to make you feel at ease and have fun while I capture those special moments in your life.
